
A lorry driver was badly hurt in the crash
A man has been arrested after a crash involving two HGVs on the M4 which left a lorry driver seriously injured and closed the motorway for eight hours.
It happened at 02:30 GMT between Junction 13 and 14 on the westbound carriageway near Chieveley, Berkshire.
A lorry hit the central reservation before crashing into another HGV, South Central Ambulance said.
In a separate accident in the county, near Junction 7 of the M4, a man was killed in a crash involving three cars.
That crash happened at about 07:00 on the westbound slip road, police said.

In relation to the earlier crash, a 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving above the alcohol level.

A car driver died in a crash near Junction 7
The man, from Reading, is currently in custody.
The M4 near Junction 7 at Slough West remains closed while police, who are appealing for witnesses, investigate the scene.
