A man has been charged with murder following the death of another man in Leicester.

Lauric Lebato, 22, from Finsbury Park, north London, died in hospital after being found with a stab wound in Albion Street at about 04:00 GMT on Saturday.

Mr Lebato was said to have been at a party at a flat before the attack.

Sulaiman Sillah, 20, of Bateman Road, Leicester, who was also charged with violent disorder, will appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court later.

He was also charged with possession of an offensive weapon.

Two other men, aged 19 and 20, who were arrested at the same time in Kent, have been released on police bail for possession of an offensive weapon.

They have been released with no further action for violent disorder.
