Eight men and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder over the death of a man at a hostel.
The body of the 52-year-old was found at the hostel in Durham Road in Sparkhill, Birmingham, just after 10:00 BST on Sunday, police said.
Officers are carrying out inquiries at the scene and want to hear from anyone with information about the incident.
The arrested men and woman are in custody and being questioned by West Midlands Police.

Det Insp Harry Harrison said: "We are treating this death as suspicious and have a number of people in custody.
"I would ask anyone who was at the hostel at the time and has information about what happened to call us as soon as possible on 101."
