Benefits sanctions: Left without any means of support

Getting people off benefits and into work is the ambition behind the government's reform agenda, and the withdrawal of individual benefits is the tool being used.

At the Maundy Relief drop-in centre in Accrington, Lancashire, volunteers provide help, support and food to some of the poorest residents in the town.
