London MC Wretch 32 has been announced as the final headliner for the 1Xtra stage at Reading and Leeds festivals this August.

The grime artist has just finished an arena tour supporting Example and his debut album Black an White has sold more than one million copies.

This will be the singer's first appearance at Reading and Leeds.

The rapper will be sharing the stage headlining honours with Wiley and Devlin.

Wretch 32, whose real name is Jermaine Scott, was used by sponsors as one of the main faces of the London 2012 Olympics campaigns, carrying the torch as well as performing at a number of free events.

This will be the first time BBC Radio 1Xtra will have a dedicated stage at the festivals, each of which mirror the other's line-up.

The main stage will be headlined by Green Day, Eminem and Biffy Clyro.

More acts were added to the bill on Friday.
