MPs have voted by 557 to 13 in favour of military action in Libya but it seems people in Britain aren't so convinced by the idea.

In one survey, by ComRes, just 35% agreed with military action.

Forty-nine per cent, almost half, felt intervention in Libya put Britain at unnecessary risk.

ComRes interviewed 2,028 people online.

A YouGov poll shows 45% support.

That survey for The Sun has 36% against action.

YouGov polled 2,000 people.

Newsbeat has been asking listeners on its Facebook page what they think of Britain getting involved in Libya.

Well you wouldnt get very good odds at the bookies if you wanted to bet things would go tits up and take far longer than anticipated.

It will go wrong in some way or another - foreign intervention always does.

Don't matter how noble your intentions are, it always goes wrong.

As soon as Gaddafi is kicked out who do you expect they will turn to for money and aid and help to rebuild their country?

The UK.
