Name?
Chris Ashworth.
How old are you?
26.
Where do you live?
Salford in Manchester.
What do you do?
I'm a field sales rep. I'm on the road nine to five every weekday, visiting the shops and outlets that sell my company's products.
Kids?
None.
Why haven't you voted before?
I just don't think I've ever been able to connect with any politicians. I've never really understood what they could do to me.
They don't lead a life like mine and I don't think they'd understand me. Their views are so different from reality.
You've been hit by the credit crunch?
Yeah, I was laid off from a previous job in 2008. It took me four months just to even find a job, let alone a job that matched what I was doing before. And I've had to take a major pay cut.
What do you think of politicians?
I've not really got strong opinions.
They seem like they're out for themselves. I'm wondering if being Prime Minister's actually just a status thing rather than what they can do good for the country, you know? They'd have to do a lot to make me think they're actually good people.
What's the big issue for you in this election?
I'd be looking into how they'd help me. I'm stuck in a Catch 22 where I'd need to take time out of work to get qualifications to better myself, but I need to work to keep money coming in.
So what would they do about that? I can imagine - with the recession - there's a lot of other people in my situation.
What's the first thing you'd do as Prime Minister?
It's the war in Afghanistan, isn't it? I've got friends doing tours over there. So trying to reduce the time we're over there.
And, I suppose, looking into the economy trying to sort out what's going on with that.
