Islanders are being urged to report Asian hornet sightings in Jersey after a man was stung and sent to hospital.
The man, whose condition is currently unknown, went into anaphylactic shock at the Sun Bowls Club in St Helier on Friday.

He was working nearby a nest, which was "disturbed" by a greenkeeper who was trimming a hedge.
Tim de Feu, Director of Environmental Protection for the States of Jersey, says the government will now be contacting landscape gardening companies and farms to ensure workers inspect areas for flying insects.
"Given that Asian hornet nests can be anywhere from house roof spaces to sheds, trees, hedges and brambles, people working in these areas should inspect them for flying insects," he said.
He is also calling on islanders to visit the governments Asian hornet website, external, and to report any sightings.
Asian hornets are an invasive species and feed on all pollinators. About 30 nests have been found in Jersey this year and beekeepers say they are now established across the Channel Islands.
