Guernsey's tourism body has welcomed the news The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society is due to be released on 20 April 2018.
The film is based on the best-selling novel, set in post-WW2 Guernsey and stars Lily James, Jessica Brown Findlay and Matthew Goode.
A Guernsey States spokeswoman said Studio Canal - the French film production and distribution company - had told them this date was "now 100% locked in" and pre-release marketing and promotional plans were being worked on.
She said the date is "great news for VisitGuernsey and other interested stakeholders as it fits neatly with our main adverting and promotional activity plans and timings".
It will be dry this evening and overnight with often clear skies.
During the early hours it will become increasingly misty, and, by morning, there'll be some patches of thick fog.
Minimum temperature: 5C (41F).
The mist and fog will slowly lift on Thursday morning, but it will be a cloudier day with only a few bright or sunny spells.
Maximum temperature: 9C (48F).

Rubis has taken over operation of the aviation fuel depot at Alderney Airport.
A spokesman for the firm said it has been working with current operator Alderney Electricity to "enable a smooth transition".
Rubis already provides aviation fuel in Guernsey.

A Jersey doctor says he's absolutely thrilled the plan for the island's hospital has been rejected.
GP Dr John Howell said the proposed building would have been a monstrosity, and construction work would be very disturbing for patients and staff.

Dr Howell said: "We've got an area of land north of St Helier called Warwick Farm, which I think would be an ideal place to have a hospital.
"After all, in England a lot of hospitals in large towns and cities are on the outskirts and it would, in my opinion, be a much better place to build."

Jerseyman Matt Banahan will join Gloucester from West Country rivals Bath at the end of the season.
The 6ft 7in 31-year-old, who can play across the backline, made his debut for Bath in 2006.
He earned 16 caps for England, and played in the 2011 World Cup.
As a younger player, Banahan was on the winning side of the Siam cup for Jersey Rugby Club.
He later moved to the London Irish Academy, before taking up his position at Bath.

An advisory panel comprising of staff from Guernsey's secondary schools, and post-16 education providers could be established under plans by the island's education committee.

The panel will then return to the States by March 2019 with a policy letter setting out a "preferred governance model".

Two men broke into the Iceland store at Camps Du Moulin, St Martin, early this morning and stole about £750 worth of cigarettes.
Guernsey Police said the glass pane in the front door was smashed at some point between 02:45 and 03:10 to allow the men to get into the shop.
They are believed to have been wearing dark clothing, face masks and gloves.
Officers have appealed for anyone with any information or anyone who has "been approached by anyone looking to sell cigarettes under suspicious circumstances" to contact them on 01481 725111 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Parishioners against plans to build a new toilet and kitchen extension at St Lawrence Church are asking the attorney general for help to stop the building work.
Some of those opposed to the plans had used an old Jersey law to try to force the rector to hold another church meeting, but that was turned down.
Byron Le Cornu, from the campaign group, said the building work was not necessary and members would go back to their QC for further advice.

A group founded to promote sports tourism in Guernsey has postponed its first meeting as it's too close to another event celebrating the achievements of local athletes.

The meeting been rescheduled because it came the day before the Guernsey Sports Commission Awards.
Group founder Dave Piesing said he was hoping to encourage like-minded individuals to get together to encourage more sport related tourism into Guernsey to benefit the economy.

Guernsey telecoms company Sure is planning to remove 20 phone boxes it operates at the end of the year due to a lack of use.
Sure said high operating costs had forced it to take this decision, but 50 would remain across the Bailiwick.
Company Head of Product Mike Fawkner-Corbett said it was partly because the boxes were vulnerable to criminal damage.
He said: "We've seen over the years a number of phone boxes vandalised, graffiti, smashed up".

Jersey's treasury minister says there is enough funding to modify the plans for Jersey's hospital after they were rejected yesterday.

Senator Alan Maclean said the rejection was unfortunate, but the project budget could cope with unexpected problems.
"We are strongly of the opinion that there is enough budget, and enough contingency, to be able to deliver the project," he said.
