Asked about his side's doubters, he told BBC Radio Guernsey: "It's very easy from an armchair to criticise. That's opinion without responsibility, and I don't see them lacing up their boots and doing anything about it."

Jersey captain Cav Miley says the Sarnians have an edge due to the bulk of their squad being teammates for the island's club side on a weekly basis.

"I do think they've got a huge advantage over us with the amount they've played together," Miley told BBC Radio Jersey.

Recently the higher education section of Highlands College was rebranded as University College Jersey and is expanding the number of degree courses it offers to provide cheaper higher education for local students.

We have asked the Education Minister, Deputy Rod Bryans, if he would consider opening it up to overseas students and are waiting for a response.
