Two endurance runners from Guernsey are attempting seven ironman distance triathlons in seven days around the island.
They are attempting the challenge for the "FCG EPIC Week challenge", external raising money for the local charity This Is EPIC, external.
Philip Smith and Warren Mauger will attempt to swim 2.4 miles in Havelet Bay, cycle 112 miles around the west coast, and run 26.2 miles in four laps between Havelet to Vale Castle every day over the week beginning 10 July.
They are thought to be the first local athletes to attempt the challenge in Guernsey.
The pair say their previous challenges raised over £50,000 for local charities.

Jersey's hospital could be short of up to 40 nurses as a recruitment crisis deepens.
Figures revealed this week show more than one in ten posts are unfilled there.
Deputy Geoff Southern who sits on the scrutiny panel claims that ministers are "out of touch" with what is happening in nursing, and need to take action.

FAB Link Limited says it's listened to people in Alderney and changed plans to develop a £500m electricity cable running from France to Britain via the island.
It follows concerns about the environmental impact of the project from members of the public and the Alderney Wildlife Trust.
The company has called on the States to progress a planning application, but is also exploring bypassing the island with an alternative "offshore" route.
Under the current plan a set of 5in cables would be buried 1-2m under Longis Common

The Guernsey Priaulx League title will be decided this weekend as North face off against Rovers at the Northfield.
The game is the final match in the top flight this season, with North at the top and Rovers third.
The Port Soif-based team are on 42 points and North on 44 meaning anything other than a Rovers win sends the title to the chocolate blues.
The match kicks off at 14:00 tomorrow afternoon with the biggest crowd of the Priaulx League season expected to attend.

The company behind the FAB Link - a £500m electricity cable planned to connect France and Britain via Alderney - is now drawing up plans for an alternative "offshore" route.
Last month, Alderney's top politician James Dent said a deal between the government and FAB Link Limited was "some way off".
Now, the company says the project has been delayed because it's been unable to get planning permission from Alderney States to lay interconnector cables.

Jersey Customs officials have had a puppy, thought to be a dangerous breed, taken off the island.
A minister ruled the dog, called Gulietta, should be taken away after it was believed to be a pitbull-type breed, which are illegal in Jersey.
Its owners brought it to Jersey on a pet passport at the end of February.
Officers took the puppy away two days later.
The States has published guidelines online, external about the breeds of dogs which are banned from the island.

On an official visit to Guernsey Austria's ambassador to the UK has called for the status of EU citizens living in the UK, and UK citizens living in other EU countries, to be confirmed as soon as possible.
His Excellency Martin Eichtinger's visit was aimed at boosting trade and tourism opportunities.
Mr Eichtinger said he wants to see a quick solution as part of the Brexit process.

The fire service have issued safety advice following a flat fire today in St Helier.
An elderly woman was taken to hospital with minor burns and shock as a result.
A spokesperson said: "Initial investigations show that the most probable cause for the fire was due to a smoking material."

Guernsey's medical community said it is ready to move forward with cannabis-based medicines providing any legal barriers are removed.
Both Guernsey and Jersey are consulting on using the medicines to treat some conditions.

Police are appealing for witnesses after man in his early 20s was allegedly sexually assaulted by another man in St Helier.
The man who assaulted him has been described as more than 5ft 10in tall, with dark hair in a "messy/spiked hairstyle" and wearing a dark leather jacket.

It's been a challenge for Robert Watts, compiler of The Sunday Times Rich List.
Mr Watts says some millionaires do assist with his wealth estimates, but finding financial information is particularly difficult in the islands.

An elderly woman has been taken to hospital with minor burns after a fire in her flat, Jersey Fire and Rescue has said.
The service said: "Initial investigations show that the most probable cause for the fire was due to a smoking material."
Just before 11:00 crews were called to the property in First Tower, St Helier, after reports a hallway was beginning to "fill with smoke" and "large bangs" could be heard coming from a bedroom.
Two fire engines were diverted from safety training at a school.
A spokesperson said: "Firefighters remained on scene for over an hour checking whether the fire had spread and removing the damaged items from the property."

Guernsey rugby's coach has said the pressure is on Jersey ahead of the Siam Cup clash tomorrow afternoon.
The second oldest trophy in rugby history will be battled out for once again at St Peter with the greens looking to win it for the first time in nine years.

Guernsey’s emergency services are giving their support to a new app they say is designed to "help members of the public provide potentially life-saving treatment before the emergency services arrive" if caught in an incident.
The CitizenAID system was launched, external in January this year.
It is a free app which provides a step-by-step system of immediate actions to take in the case of an emergency.

The Guernsey captain has said there is potential for a win in the Siam cup this weekend.
The annual rugby match between Guernsey and Jersey has been dominated by the reds in recent years.
