The DJ who was performing at a gig that was stopped early due to concerns over the safety of the dance floor has described the audience as "the sickest".
The music at the drum n bass gig at Rojo in St Helier was stopped early after nearly 300 people started jumping up and down on the dance floor at the same time.

This week there will be lots of questions in the States on plans by government owned telecom company JT to charge for having a bill sent by post or not paying using direct debit. Both are going to be set at £1.50.
Deputy Jeremy Macon wants to know whether the charges are likely to disproportionately affect more elderly members of the community.
The Constable of St John wants to ensure charges don't discriminate against the elderly and Senator Sarah Ferguson wants to know why JT are charging when Jersey Electricity and others offer a discount for those getting an email.
JT say they are going to work with those that don't have a computer to find a solution which could include moving to quarterly billing.

The Jersey States Assembly sits once a fortnight and discuss a wide range of issues from elections and tax to drinking and drugs.
Their next meeting is tomorrow morning and they'll be discussing everything from removing the requirement for electoral candidates to be British to Brexit.
Members also get to ask ministers questions about a range of issues in advance and have half an hour to quiz two ministers without having to tell them beforehand. This week it is the Infrastructure and Environment ministers.

A proposed £7,000 pay rise for Jersey's chief minister has attracted a lot of criticism on social media. This prompted Jersey's only political party, Reform Jersey, to launch a petition to stop it being implemented which has so far been signed by 700 people.
Current Chief Minister, Senator Ian Gorst, says the proposed change wouldn't see him get more money but the next chief minister after the 2018 election.
The pay rise was proposed by the States Members Remuneration Review body, set up to take decisions over politicians pay away from the politicians themselves.

The owner of a nightclub that had to turn off the music on Saturday over fears for the safety of dancers, says he'd rather make an unpopular decision than see something serious happen.
DJ Macky Gee was in the island playing jump up drum n bass, that encourages people to jump up and down to the music. There was a 300 strong capacity crowd.

Government owned telecom company JT have come under fire for plans to charge customers £1.50 for a paper bill and the same to pay with cash or card rather than use direct debit.
Here is what JT say they plan to do to try and help those customers who don't have a bank account or have access to the internet.
My mother-in-law doesn't have internet access herself so she is using my email to get the bill and I then print it for her to take in and pay.
A tide alert's been issued for Guernsey's east coast this evening with force six easterly winds expected to combine with 9.9 metre high tides at about 20:30.
Guernsey Met warns that some spillages over sea walls, and debris may be thrown onto coastal roads.

I was born in 1981 and just 35 years later there is going to be a museum exhibition about the decade. It will be called Bergerac's Island as it covers the time period when the fictional TV detective was at the height of his fame.
Opening in April, Jersey Heritage says the exhibition will allow young people to experience the 80s and those a bit older to reminisce.
A few years ago Heritage asked for donations of 80s toys, products and even food for the exhibition which will replace the popular Ice Age Island showcase.

A man in his 30s has been arrested by police in connection with a serious assault on a man at Havre Des Pas, Jersey on Friday afternoon.
The 33-year-old who has not been named is currently being held in police custody.
Officers are asking for any witnesses who have information to get in touch.

A plan to cut the starting salary of newly qualified teachers by about £8,000 per year is fair, according to the education minister.
Deputy Rod Bryans is facing a motion of censure in the States, brought by Deputy Geoff Southern who claims the minister misled the States by using misleading data during a debate.
The issue was about which level teachers start at - level one, two or three. Deputy Southern says the minister was wrong to compare Jersey level three to UK level one.
Deputy Bryans says level one isn't used in Jersey so level three is the starting grade, whereas in the UK they start at level one - so the comparison is fair.

Police have launched an investigation into the Jersey Innovation Fund.
The controversial scheme - which loaned taxpayers' money to businesses - was the subject of a damning report last month by the comptroller and auditor general who said at the time some of the funds may be linked to illegal activity.
It was criticised for potentially losing millions of pounds of taxpayers' money. Now the island's Attorney General's confirmed it's received a referral and the police are investigating.

There's a chance the women's Muratti will go ahead after all, despite an announcement last week that it had been cancelled as Guernsey couldn't find enough players.
The issue was over eligibility, the players had to be registered with a Guernsey women's team but there weren't enough teams to make a full squad.
Guernsey club Ormer FC, which plays in the UK, encouraged its eligible players to sign up with a local women's team as well - which would make them eligible to play. It has this weekend seen seven more players agree to sign up, bringing the total to 26.
There are strict rules about who can play in the Muratti, as a player has to have at least one parent who was born locally.

A new register of nurses working in Guernsey is a "tidying up" exercise according to the island's registration officer.
From 1 April all nurses and health visitors in Guernsey and Alderney must be registered for the first time. It will allow for regular checks to ensure the nurses have the necessary qualifications and training to practice in the island.
Registration Officer Ed Freestone said despite there being no register in the past, it did not mean nurses were not qualified. He said internal checks were regularly carried out. However, a register will make the process simpler and help meet changing healthcare needs.

A blue Suzuki motorbike was taken from the parking area in front of the Forester's Arms in St Peter Port over the weekend, police say.
It was found close to the Longstore Co-op, also in St Peter Port, and had damage which suggested it had been involved in a crash.

Higher wage demands, a weaker pound and uncertainty over Brexit are some of the reasons blamed for more expensive operating costs for island businesses.
The Business Tendency Survey, by the Jersey Stats Unit, asked island companies a range of questions on how well they're doing and what problems they are facing.
One of the findings was that so far companies are managing to absorb the higher costs.
