The youngster, of secondary school age, was left with a suspected broken leg and facial injuries after being hit by a Renault Clio in Halliwell Road, east Ipswich, at around 08:30 yesterday.
Police said the driver was asked to stop in Cauldwell Hall Road but he failed to do so. Officers then pursued the vehicle until it hit another car and a garden wall in Goring Road, where it came to a stop.

Michael Neto, 27, of Baldwins Garden, London, appeared before magistrates in Ipswich today where he admitted causing serious injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop when required to, taking a vehicle without authorisation, failing to stop after an accident and possession of cannabis.
Magistrates remanded him in custody to appear at Ipswich Crown Court at a later date.
Jack Gray stood in for his boss at the last minute, but was disqualified despite finishing first.
