Town won 1-0 then to help in their relegation battle, and heap more misery on the West Midlands side struggling to acclimatize to life outside the Premier League.

This season, the league table is happier reading for both clubs, with Villa fourth and Town just outside the play-off places with a game in hand.

Ghana international Albert Adomah (pictured) has been a key player for Steve Bruce's side, with eight goals from just 11 starts in the Championship.

"I watched him on Tuesday night against Sunderland and he was probably the standout player for them. He's confident and he's scoring goals. He's quick and he can be direct," said McCarthy.

"With that in mind, he's one we'll have to watch, but they have a number of good players in their squad."

The Town boss says he's been particularly impressed with Folami: "He's the more physical of the two of them so he's more able to handle the championship but Ben Morris is certainly a goal scorer, so both of those are sort of pushing for a place if we've got one.
