    Crewe Alexandra's director of football, Dario Gradi, says the side has had "two poor seasons". 

    The club were relegated back to League Two at the end of last season, having only just escaped the drop the season before.

    Gradi told me the team has just not been good enough.

    The local government secretary has decided not to re-examine a decision to grant planning permission for the relocation of Stafford Rugby Club. 

    Stafford Borough Council , externalapproved plans for a site near to Doxey Marshes in March for the second time - a first application was quashed in the High Court.

    Campaigners asked the local government secretary, Greg Clark, to "call in" the decision, but the Department for Local Government says they won't. 

    Opponents say they'll launch another legal challenge - the rugby club say they want to get on with building their new facilities.

    A Stoke-on-Trent primary school has been told it is going to be flood-proofed.

    Clarice Cliff Primary in Fenton was damaged for the second time , externalin just over a week by flooding.

    Headteacher Diane Broadhurst (featured in video) says they don't want children to keep missing lessons and they're now looking at flood-proof doors.

    Six men have been charged by police in connection, external with a string of burglaries in Stafford.

    Staffordshire Police say the men, aged between 15 and 27, have been charged with offences including burglary and receiving stolen goods. 

    The force says the break-ins happened between August and October 2015. All six are due at magistrates in Cannock later this month.

    Let me bring you some news about the restoration of Ferry Bridge in Burton.

    Four aluminium plaques have been unveiled, ready to be put on the historic bridge once the work is finished.

    They have cost more than £17,000 and weigh a quarter of a tonne. 

    Three of the original plaques were lost after they were removed from the bridge in 1969.

    Stoke City's chief executive, Tony Scholes, says he feels the club's fans have not been treated fairly with the side's fixtures over the festive period.

    Scholes told BBC Radio Stoke he thinks travelling to Liverpool and Chelsea is tough for the supporters.

    Stafffordshire Police , externalsays it is offering personal security advice to all of the county's MPs, following the killing of the West Yorkshire MP Jo Cox.

    The force says there is "no specific threat to MPs" and they should carry out their duties as planned.

    It also says it doesn't have plans to send officers out with the MPs as they go about their work
