The club were relegated back to League Two at the end of last season, having only just escaped the drop the season before.

Staffordshire Political Reporter, BBC NewsThe local government secretary has decided not to re-examine a decision to grant planning permission for the relocation of Stafford Rugby Club.
Stafford Borough Council , externalapproved plans for a site near to Doxey Marshes in March for the second time - a first application was quashed in the High Court.

Opponents say they'll launch another legal challenge - the rugby club say they want to get on with building their new facilities.

Clarice Cliff Primary in Fenton was damaged for the second time , externalin just over a week by flooding.
Headteacher Diane Broadhurst (featured in video) says they don't want children to keep missing lessons and they're now looking at flood-proof doors.

Journalist, BBC Radio StokeSix men have been charged by police in connection, external with a string of burglaries in Stafford.
Image source, GoogleStaffordshire Police say the men, aged between 15 and 27, have been charged with offences including burglary and receiving stolen goods.
The force says the break-ins happened between August and October 2015. All six are due at magistrates in Cannock later this month.

BBC Local LiveLet me bring you some news about the restoration of Ferry Bridge in Burton.
Four aluminium plaques have been unveiled, ready to be put on the historic bridge once the work is finished.
They have cost more than £17,000 and weigh a quarter of a tonne.
Three of the original plaques were lost after they were removed from the bridge in 1969.

Sunday's mass shooting at the gay club in Florida was the worst in recent US history, with 49 people dead.
Organised by LGBT Staffordshire, the event in Hanley is due to start at 19:00.
