    Chesterfield manager Dean Saunders has told BBC Radio Sheffield's Football Focus team why he thinks the Spireites and Swindon are like Liverpool.

    Saunders says the Merseyside club has had similar problems to the Spireites: "If you lose your best players, it's going to take a while to get some consistency."

    Rotherham United's latest signing, Luke Hyam, says he's already seen similarities between his boss at Ipswich Town, Mick McCarthy, and his new chief Neil Redfearn.

    The 24-year-old has moved to the New York Stadium on loan until January and could make his debut against Bristol City this Saturday.

    Hyam tells me: "They seem very similar, both Yorkshiremen and both very honest and genuine, which is exactly how I like a manager to be."

    Lynn Hamblett, the grandmother of Jordan Thomas, has spoken to me outside Sheffield Crown Court following the conviction of Jama Ahmed for her grandson's murder.

    Ahmed, 26, was jailed for life and will serve at least 36 years for shooting dead the 22-year-old in Sheffield last year.

    South Yorkshire Police are asking for more information after the arrest of five teenagers from Sheffield on suspicion of violent disorder in Sheffield on Bonfire Night.

    The arrests form part of ongoing investigation into the disorder and inquiries will continue, the force says, external.

    The family of Jordan Thomas, who was shot and killed in Sheffield in December 2014, have spoken of their "loss and sadness" on the day his killer was brought to justice. 

    A jury found Jama Ahmed guilty of murder and attempted murder following a trial at Sheffield Crown Court. 

    Ahmed, 26, was given a life sentence for murder and will serve at least 36 years in jail.

    Five teenagers from Sheffield have been arrestedon suspicion of violent disorder in the Abbeydale Road area of the city on Bonfire Night, externalwhich left one police officer hurt.

    Two boys aged 16 and 17, two boys aged 15, and a 16-year-old girl, are in police custody and are being questioned about the disorder, which saw fireworks being set off in the street.

    Insp Ian Stubbs, from the Local Policing Team, says: “The events of Bonfire Night shocked and scared the local community."

    I'm at Sheffield Crown Court, where Jama Ahmed has been given a life sentence for the murder of Jordan Thomas

    Sentencing 26-year-old Ahmed, the judge, Mr Justice Green, told him he'd serve a minimum of 36 years for the killing.

    Mr Thomas, 22, was shot twice in the chest on Derek Dooley Way in 2014 as he sat in a car at traffic lights in Sheffield.

    "The effect of your crime cannot be underestimated. This feud spiralled out of control," the judge said.
