The chancellor of Oxford University has warned against "rewriting history", in his first public comments over a campaign to remove a statue of 19th-century colonialist Cecil Rhodes at one of the Oxford colleges.
The university is facing growing pressure to take down the statue amid claims it celebrates the life of a racist imperialist.

Expectant mothers in Oxfordshire are being weighed as part efforts to tackle obesity in pregnancy.

Over 1,000 new homes are being proposed on the land between the village and Banbury, and residents are concerned the village they love will become simply a suburb.
Residents and campaigners, as well as the council, will all give their thoughts on the controversial development.
