The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind for much of the East Midlands.
There is the chance of gusts of 50-60mph at lower levels and potentially up to 70mph over high ground.
Gusts are likely to peak in the early hours but there could still be some tricky driving conditions around rush hour.

It will be a cold and windy night with a band of heavy rain moving eastwards overnight.
Expect the strongest winds as the rain clears in the early hours and icy patches could form in places with lows of 0C (32F).

Derby will escape the worst of any Rolls-Royce job cuts after the company announced that it is to restructure the business, according to its boss.

"Most of the people at Rolls-Royce in Derby won’t really see a huge change from the big restructure, which is moving from five business units to three.”

Drivers have been told to avoid London Road in Nottingham this evening.
There are no reported accidents but traffic is a lot heavier than usual.
This is also causing delays to some of the bus services in the city.

A music festival abandoned after its site turned into a sea of mud will return this summer.
Derbyshire's Y Not festival was cancelled over safety concerns in July last year after torrential downpours hit the site.
Before it was halted, festival-goers shared photos and videos of the swamp-like conditions while several bands, including Happy Mondays, Two Door Cinema Club and The Vaccines, were unable to perform.

They said the Aston Hill Farm venue in the Peak District allowed for better access points for vehicles and promised there would be clear routes between the campsite and arena.
The festival will take place between 27 and 29 July.

Two men threatened staff with knives during a robbery at a shop in Matlock.
Derbyshire Police, external said the men demanded cash from the till at the One Stop store in Lime Tree Road.
The pair then ran off towards the nearby housing estate.

A centre for out-of-work people will have to shut some of its offices after it lost £100,000 of funding.
The Derbyshire Unemployed Workers Centre operates 16 outreach locations across the county providing advice but says some of these will have to be closed after losing funding from the county council.

Derbyshire Police have warned people in Ilkeston not to be alarmed if they spot their media team filming a reconstruction of a rape and attempted murder in the town tonight.
Actors are being used for the filming in Queens Avenue, where a woman was attacked in November.

Nottingham's first ever puppet festival will be a four-day celebration of every kind of puppetry, organisers said.
The festival - run by City Arts Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University - will be held in March at various venues across the city.
Puppets on display will include giant birds, wild dogs and an iron man.
Here Alison Duddle talks about the puppets she has made and Sean Myatt, senior lecturer at the university, tells us what will happen during the festival.
