  4. Mess in Skegness after fun in the sunpublished at 17:16 BST 26 July 2019

We told you earlier that it's thought 11,000 people were on Skegness beach yesterday, enjoying the hot weather.

That amount of people generates quite a lot of rubbish...

...and due to a combination of the bins being unable to cope and some people who didn't dispose of it properly, Skegness is feeling the effects today

    Bins

Lifeguards there have told us that people regularly leave windbreaks, inflatables and even flip-flops at the beach as they're so cheap people don't mind ditching them.

It shut because of "long-term recruitment issues" and campaigners now say many people are struggling to register at other practices, while others can't afford to travel.

Valerie Corkell has told the BBC she's had problems with her teeth and doesn't want the same thing to happen to others because they can't get an appointment:

    Quote Message

It's mainly to help the young children growing up and get them into the habit of seeing a dentist...Mablethorpe has been left behind for too long."

    Valerie Corkell

NHS England says it's been exploring a range of options but there are no local providers able to offer a service as they haven't been able to recruit the qualified dentists needed.

He later removed the comment and tweeted an apology the next day.
