A Boston man who set up a huge cannabis growing operation has been jailed for three years

David Ruck, 62, of Silt Pit Lane, Wyberton converted two out-buildings to produce the drug.

When police raided the buildings on Ruck's land in February they discovered more than 500 plants and cuttings. 

Ruck told Lincoln Crown Court that he was a heavy user of the drug and the cannabis was all for himself; this was rejected by the judge. 

Ruck admitted production of cannabis. He was also given a six month consecutive jail sentence after admitting possession of an illegal stun gun.

It's a busy time for all of us at the moment especially, it seems, if you're a police officer.

Despite well-publicised campaigns, Lincolnshire Police say the amount of people caught driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol hasn't fallen.

The force says 50 people have so far been arrested for the offence this month, a figure broadly in line with last year.

Good news for Lincoln City fans: more tickets are now available for their match against Ipswich town.

They'd almost sold out of their initial allocation of 3,873.

Plans for Grimsby Town's £55m new stadium have been revealed.

Extreme Leisure is leading the project to build a 14,000-seater stadium on the town's Peaks Parkway.

A new ice rink, restaurants, shops and housing are included in the proposal, which is due to go before the council's cabinet next month.

Thieves broke in through the back of the house yesterday sometime between 07:45 and 15:15.

Police want any witnesses to come forward.

Bad news skaters, the ice rink won't be re-opening after a problem with the machine caused all the ice to melt:

The team behind it say they'll be in touch with anyone has pre-booked a session today.

Fishgate, based at Brookenby, near Market Rasen has announced it has gone into administration.

The company employs around 50 people who've been told to expect more details in the post over the next few days.

Uh-oh. 

The ice rink in City Square is closed because the machine which makes the ice has broken:

You may have a sense of déjà vu - that's because last year the ice melted because of unseasonably warm weather.

It turned the rink into... well a big puddle:

It's quickly becoming a Christmas tradition!

A former psychiatric institution is on course to becoming home to a cafe, roastery and theatre. 

Work has begun on converting The Lawn in Lincoln into the new headquarters for Lincolnshire coffee company Stokes, who want it to house a number of other amenities as well.
