    Artist and biographer Keggie Carew travels to Sheffield to meet the producer and Mercury Prize nominated singer-songwriter and guitarist Richard Hawley.

    They meet at Yellow Arch Studios, where he has recorded all his albums, and talk about the way in which the city of Sheffield has inspired his work. Keggie and Richard also muse on the subject of time; how his songs often seem to stretch it, why he decided to go slow, and the importance of sharing time with their fathers towards the end of their lives.

    Police are searching for Wakefield Man Carl Hartley.

    Police have released an image of him after he breached his court bail conditions. He was charged with a number of sexual offences. 

    He is 25-years-old with a tattoo of the words "LILY" on the left hand side of his neck. 

    Hartley has links to both the Castleford and Wakefield areas of West Yorkshire

    Some more news on the coffin that was for sale at a Leeds charity shop. As the previous sentence may suggest, it's been sold!

    We understand that someone paid near the asking price of £1`40 for the bargain coffin.

    Jonathan Wingfield is the Assistant Manager there, he says that it was owned by a couple who were into amateur dramatics.

    Now, I don't know about you, but I can't resit patting a police horse when I see one.

    But even the most well-trained can be unpredictable, which is why South Yorkshire Police has issued tips, external on how to stay safe around them.

    The advice includes approaching police horses slowly and quietly, asking their rider if it's alright to stroke or feed them and never walk behind them.

  8. Bradford's City Park wins Certificate of Excellencepublished at 16:44 BST 22 June 2017

    It's official, Bradford is a top visitor destination after City Park in the centre of town was awarded a Certificate of Excellence.

    TripAdvisor only gives the awards out to "accommodation, attractions and restaurants which consistently earn positive reviews" from people.

    As far as online reviews go, a Certificate of Excellence is as good as it gets, and since its opening in 2012, the park has welcomed 25 million people.

    One of the website's users commented: "Superb place to a spend a day out with the kids but don't forget to take spare clothing and towels. Highly recommended. Well done Bradford."

    Police in Sheffield have reassured people living in the Spital Hill area that violence will "absolutely not be tolerated in our city".

    It follows a large fight yesterday afternoon between members of the Somailian and Kurdish community.

    Ch Supt Shaun Morley said extra officers - some armed - will continue to patrol the area, and a legal Dispersal Order will allow them to move potential troublemakers away from Spital Hill.

    On Monday, a 17-year-old boy was stabbed during a fight on Spital Lane, while a 33-year-old man was shot during the latest confrontation.

  12. Blue plaque unveiled to first female Lord Mayor of Yorkpublished at 15:38 BST 22 June 2017

    Earlier this week a blue plaque was unveiled in York to honour composer John Barry.

    Today a second plaque will be unveiled to one of York's unsung heroes.

    The location is 30 Clifton, the former home of Edna Annie Crichton, the city's first woman Lord Mayor from 1941 to 1942.

    I've been along to Edna's former home to find out from York's Civic Trust on why Edna Annie Crichton was such an important figure:

    Her year in office was to be the most dramatic in the modern history of York. In the early hours of 29 April 1942 bombs rained down and York burned.

    About 90 people were killed, more than 200 badly injured, and up to a third of York's homes were destroyed or badly damaged.

    Edna Annie Crichton went from home to home offering assistance.

  13. July strike announced on Northern trainspublished at 15:25 BST 22 June 2017

    Yorkshire's to be hit by another rail strike next month lasting three days.

    It's the fourth stoppage on Northern over the issue of driver-only trains, the RMT union has called the strike from 8 July.

    The union accused the company of "digging their heels" in over the guarantee of a second safety critical member of staff on trains.

    RMT general secretary Mick Cash said: "The responsibility for the inevitable disruption lies wholly with the company."

    We've approached Arriva North, who operate Northern, for a comment.

    The RMT union has announced a three-day strike on Northern Rail over the issue of driver-only trains.

    A woman from Keighley in West Yorkshire who was seriously injured while in the army is preparing to travel to Chicago to take part in a major athletics competition.

    Maria Miles had to give up her dream career in 1997, when she suffered a broken spine and leg injuries on deployment.

    She was told she would never walk properly again.

    She now uses a wheelchair, but advances in medical technology mean she competes in a wide range of sports.

    Maria's now about to take part in the Warrior Games which are for wounded, injured or ill service personnel and veterans.

    A Scarborough care home owner and campaigner says he is worried that social care may slip to the bottom of the government's agenda.

    The government promised in the Queen's Speech to consult on the future of social care, after the ditching of the controversial "dementia tax" in the Conservative election manifesto.

    Some campaigners welcomed the chance to re-think the policy after heavy criticism of it during the election campaign.

    A Green Paper is now likely to be published at the end of the year on changes to the social care system but some warn that more concrete promises are needed.

    Children in Leeds are being given lessons on how to stay safe around dogs.

    The Dogs Trust says in the last five years 8,000 children had to go to hospital after being bitten by a dog.

    The charity's going into schools around the country - including to Ashfield Primary School in Leeds - to give demonstrations and safety tips to pupils.

    This coffin has been spotted for sale in a Leeds charity shop - it says "used once" on the ticket.

    It's up for sale for £140 at the Revive shop on Kirkstall Road in the city, external, but the big question is, who buys a coffin and then doesn't need it?

    Jonathan Wingfield is the Assistant Manager there, he says that it was owned by a couple who were into amateur dramatics. See where this is going?

    The Crown Prosecution Service has said that it will announce next Wednesday if anyone will face prosecution over the Hillsborough disaster.

    Prosecutors will tell families of the 96 victims whether anyone is to face trial, more than 28 years after the tragedy.

    Files on around 23 suspects were sent to the CPS in January.
