    Showers should die away this evening and overnight. There will be mist and hill fog through the night which will once again turn to further patchy rain and drizzle.

    There's still a yellow weather warning for rain in place for West Yorkshire until 21:00. Scattered heavy thundery showers are expected to develop, and will once again lead to slow-moving downpours across the warning area. Some parts will inevitably miss most, or all, of the heavier rain.

    Please be aware of possible localised flooding and disruption to travel.

    Wrestling legend Big Daddy Cool Kevin Nash , externalis coming to Headingley Stadium.

    Tickets go on sale today for the event at the Headingley Carnegie Stadium on Friday 9 September.

    Nash is one of the biggest names in wrestling. He first gained mainstream attention as Diesel, the body guard of Shawn Michaels in the WWE, and quickly became Tag Team, Intercontinental and Heavyweight champion.

  4. Headlines: Memorial events across Leeds for Orlando victims and an England fan from Huddersfield is jailed in Francepublished at 17:42 BST 13 June 2016

    The headlines this evening include;

    • There's a vigil in Leeds tonight for the victims of the Orlando shootings. Public monuments will be lit up in the rainbow colours associated with gay pride.
    • An England fan from Huddersfield is one of two men who have been jailed following violence in Marseille over the weekend. Twenty year old Alexander Booth has been imprisoned for two months and banned from France for two years .
    • British Triathlon bosses have apologised to athletes who had problems during Sunday's event. Competitors have complained of difficulties picking their bags up and inadequate food at the finish line.
  5. Leeds Arena to be lit up in Orlando massacre tributepublished at 17:37 BST 13 June 2016

    The Leeds Arena will be lit up today following the massacre in Orlando in the America.

    Omar Mateen killed 49 people and wounded 53 more in the deadliest mass shooting in recent US history, before being shot dead by police.

  6. Recruitment crisis blamed for high number of locum GPs in Bradfordpublished at 17:34 BST 13 June 2016

    The doctors union, the British Medical Association, says patients in some of the most deprived areas of England, including parts of West Yorkshire, face receiving poorer levels of care due to an over-reliance on locum GPs. 

    Analysis by BBC News suggests around one-in-six doctors in Bradford are filling-in, compared to a national average of about one-in-thirty.

  7. Huddersfield dad pleads his son's innocence in Francepublished at 17:30 BST 13 June 2016

    Twenty year old Alexander Booth from Huddersfield has been jailed for two months and banned from France for two years following the widespread violence during the Euro 2016 tournament.

    His dad Chris Booth says his son has been made a scapegoat, and that he'll fight what he is calling a miscarriage of justice.

  8. Headliners annouced for Halifax Comedy Festivalpublished at 17:15 BST 13 June 2016

    The headline acts for this year's Halifax Comedy Festival have been announced. They include TV's Jimmy Carr, nominee for best newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, Romesh Ranganathan and Pub Landlord Al Murray.

    The Halifax Comedy Festival runs from 21 to 29 October with more than 20 events taking place across eight venues.

  9. Leeds fan's account of violence at Euro 2016published at 17:07 BST 13 June 2016

    A football fan from Leeds who's in France for Euro 2016 has been telling BBC Radio Leeds' Adam Pope what he's seen.

    Dylan Thwaites who's a West Yorkshire businessman says the French Police seemed to allow quasi-military style attack without stepping in.

    Dylan Thwaites is back in Huddersfield after being attacked before the England game at the weekend.

    Meanwhile a twenty year old football fan from Huddersfield, Alexander Booth, has been jailed for throwing a bottle at police.

    Ezdihar from Bradford thinks of herself as body positive; she loves basketball - and she wears a hijab.

    Originally a netball player, she caught the basketball bug at 18, and became president of her university's team. 

    After starting local team the Bradford Cobras, she inspired other Muslim women to sign up. After a Bosnian woman started a petition to overturn a ruling by the International Basketball Association to ban the wearing of hijabs during play, the Cobras went to Turkey to play a friendly game - and won.

  11. Wakefield woman guilty of illegal teeth whiteningpublished at 16:26 BST 13 June 2016

    The General Dental Council has successfully prosecuted a woman from Wakefield for carrying out tooth whitening illegally. Janine Gilchrist pleaded guilty to unlawfully offering the treatment at Bohemia & Sisters beauty salon at 170 Kirkgate on 22 March this year, without being on the council's list of registered dental professionals.

    The case was heard at Wakefield and Pontefract Magistrates' Court last week. Gilchrist was sentenced to a 12 month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay a contribution toward GDC's costs of £260, as well as a £15 victim surcharge. 

  12. Keighley teenage weightlifter shows off her strengthpublished at 16:10 BST 13 June 2016

    Could Denholme weightlifter Rebekah Tiler be on the way to represent Great Britain at the Rio Olympics in August? Yesterday the 17-year-old set a new British Record in the Snatch competition at the British Weightlifting Championships. 

    The selection meeting for both the men's and women's places is on Tuesday 21st June before the final team announcement to follow in early July."

    A reminder to check before you travel, external this afternoon, if you're planning to go by bus in Leeds today.

    First Leeds bus drivers are in the middle of a 24-hour strike over pay.

    The industrial action by members of the Unite Union will end at 02:00 on Tuesday morning. 

    First Bus say it's affecting all services in Leeds and the 72 service from Bradford. Buses run by other operators are not affected and MyBus school services and the Access Bus will be running as normal. 

  14. Huddersfield football fan jailed in Francepublished at 15:30 BST 13 June 2016

    A football fan from Huddersfield has been jailed after throwing a bottle at police.

    Alexander Booth who's 20 and Ian Hepworth from Sheffield were the first fans to be dealt with after the widespread trouble in the French port city of Marseilles. Booth has been jailed for two months and banned from France for two years.

    Reacting to the sentence, Booth's father Chris, who was later seen in tears, said "I'll fight it" and "miscarriage".

    Long delays are being reported on the M62 westbound between Junctions 22 (Rishworth Moor) and 21.

  16. Airport bus still running despite strikepublished at 14:56 BST 13 June 2016

    The bus which takes passengers to Leeds Bradford Airport , externalis still running today. Most bus services in Leeds have been cancelled as a result of a 24 hour strike by First Leeds Bus Drivers.

    The Yorkshire Tiger bus company which operates the 757 Leeds Bradford Airport service has tweeted to say that they are running a normal service today with some extra capacity. 

  17. Travel: Problems on M62 westboundpublished at 14:34 BST 13 June 2016

    There's disruption on the M62 this afternoon because of a vehicle fire.

    One lane is closed and traffic is queuing on the M62 westbound between junction 26 for the M606 at Chain Bar and at junction 25 for the A644 to Brighouse.

  18. Big rise in domestic violence calls in West Yorkshire following England matchpublished at 14:31 BST 13 June 2016

    West Yorkshire Police has seen a 33% increase in 999 domestic abuse calls following England's first match at the weekend in the Euro 2016 tournament. 

     A total of 3,606 calls including 999 and 101 calls were received between 20:00 and 03:00 on Saturday night when England drew against Russia in Marseille. That's around 200 calls more than last Saturday night.

    Control room staff tweeted information about call levels and incidents throughout the evening to show how busy officers were.

  19. Asda boss to leavepublished at 14:13 BST 13 June 2016

    The chief Executive of Leeds-based Asda is to step down next month, after declining sales. Andy Clarke has been with the firm for over 20 years and has been at the helm for six years. 

    Asda's parent company, Wal Mart, is bringing in Sean Clarke, who's headed its operation in China.
