    Looks like quite a few people have turned out to see The Highways Agency's proposals for the A63 Castle Street.

    Proposed work includes lowering the road around the Mytongate junction to create a new road bridge to Ferensway, as well as two footbridges for pedestrians and cyclists.

    The family of a Scunthorpe mother of four who died after collapsing in the Combined Court Centre in Hull say they're stunned by her death.

    Staff at the court tried to revive Hayley Gascoigne when she fell unconscious on Thursday, she was later taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

  10. East Riding MP to speak on adult social care tonight on Look Northpublished at 15:27 GMT 27 January 2017

    Following calls from an East Yorkshire man for the government to fully fund adult social care, the MP for Beverley and Holderness, Graham Stuart, will be speaking to Look North tonight. 

    Pat Maguire says his father-in-law had to live in five different private care homes within the last twelve months of his life.

    The Department of Health says it recognises the pressures and is investing nine hundred million pounds into adult social care over the next two years.

    The Tigers beat United, for the first time since 1974, but ultimately lost the semi-final tie 3-2 on aggregate, missing out on a trip to Wembley for the final of the EFL Cup.

    It could be 2023 before planned work on the A63 in Hull is completed.

    Highways England Project Manager Jimmy Holmes says its not a quick process:

    The full set of plans will be on display at the Mercure Royal Station Hotel today from 12.30 to 20:00 and tomorrow between 10:00 and 16:00.

    A UKIP Councillor in North East Lincolnshire has defected to the Conservatives.

    Nick Pettigrew who was UKIP councillor for the Freshney Ward in Grimsby is joining the council's Conservative group.

    He says the local UKIP group has no clear direction and is ineffectual. He's been welcomed by the Conservative group.

    More than 40,000 people have flocked to Ferens Art Gallery in the first two weeks of its reopening.

    The building reopened to the public on Friday 13 January after being shut for over a year to undergo a £4.5m refurbishment 

    Hull City Council says the gallery has welcomed 10-times more visitors compared with the same period in 2015.

    Here's my report on the money needed to repair Beverley Minster and St Mary's Church.

    The woman charged with raising £15m to repair both churches admits it's going to be really tough. 

    The vicar at St Mary's is warning that unless masonry problems are sorted out, the church will eventually have to be closed to the public. 

    The battle to find the money has now begun. 

  18. Tributes for mum who died after collapsing at Hull Crown Courtpublished at 11:47 GMT 27 January 2017

    Tributes have been paid to a woman who died after she collapsed at Hull Crown Court yesterday.

    The mother of four, named locally as Hayley Gascoigne from Scunthorpe, is said to have become ill in the public area of the court.

    Witnesses have described attempts to revive Ms Gascoigne by court staff then paramedics.

    Some of Ms Gascoigne's friends have posted Facebook tributes....

    One said: "She was a lovely, warm kind person and this is just so tragic. Love n strength to all her family n friends."

    Another said: "What sad news to wake up to. A truly beautiful lady inside and out."
