Deputy Chief Constable James Vaughan said: "Locations for deployment are agreed at a national level and, at this stage, there are no plans for deployment in Dorset.
"Although we have no information to suggest any specific additional risk to Dorset, we would urge the public to keep alert and not alarmed."

John Lenton has been announced as the new mayor for Windsor and Maidenhead.
The councillor, who was last year's deputy mayor, was elected at the annual mayor-making ceremony on Tuesday.

PC Keith Burgess, 42, was convicted at Guildford Crown Court in relation to "inappropriate" behaviour towards two teenage girls while he was working in Southampton in 2014 and 2015.
The judge had previously ordered the jury to find him not guilty of sending sexually explicit messages, sexual assaults, child grooming and child pornography offences.

A scheme to protect rare gull eggs off the Dorset coast has been hailed a success after an increase in the number of breeding pairs.
Egg collecting had become such a problem on remote islands off Poole Harbour that police patrols were put in to protect the seabirds this year.
Charity, Birds of Poole Harbour, said a survey carried out on Tuesday revealed "zero evidence of egg collecting".

Paul Morton, who runs the charity, said the colony was back up to nearly 6,000 nests.
CCTV images have been released by police investigating the use of a stolen bank card in Reading.
A man suffered serious head injuries when he was punched while chasing a thief who stole his wallet earlier this month.
His bank card was used in McDonald's and the Shell Garage, both in Oxford Road, the same day - Sunday 5 March.
Thames Valley Police, external wants to speak to the men in the photos, who they say may hold vital information about the investigation.

The travellers originally set up camp in Bitterne Park Primary School over the weekend before moving to the adjacent Riverside Park in Bitterne Park on Tuesday.
Police said they had received three reports of anti-social behaviour in the area, including "vehicle nuisance".
However, the council said the group had moved from the area on Wednesday morning.
Imam Monawar Hussain founded the Oxford Foundation, which promotes interfaith dialogue and education, and told BBC Oxford he is regularly asked to talk to young people accessing extremist websites.
He said: “I often get called into schools because young people are accessing material on the internet; they’re getting really wound up.
“What the extremists do is they use violence against Muslims to generate hate towards everyone else.
“We actually sit down and go through why they want to go to Syria or anywhere else, what’s the basis for this, and open up other avenues for them to do good.
“That idealism that young people have can be channeled into a positive outcome, rather than something destructive.”
Today's Changing the Guard ceremony at Windsor Castle was cancelled to allow armed officers to be deployed elsewhere, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has said.
A spokesperson for the MoD told the BBC that this fits with an existing arrangement for times of heightened national security.
They added that the decision will be "reviewed" ahead of each scheduled ceremony.
The next ceremony is due to take place on Friday.

Staff have been instructed to remove all waste bins and close or remove all mobile phone charging points.

Thames Valley Police has said: "We have put in place additional armed and unarmed officers at key locations.
"This is very much focused on crowded places, including transport hubs and shopping centres."
Deputy Chief Constable John Campbell added: "At this time we need everyone to remain alert but not alarmed."
Police have said there is no intelligence to suggest a specific threat to the Thames Valley.
