A number of flood warnings and alerts are already in place as the South West braces itself for some severe weather.
The Met Office, external has issued a yellow wind warning with gusts of up to 55 miles an hour expected on the coast, particularly in the north.

A five-year-old Plymouth boy says he's devastated after his pet guinea pigs' hutch was destroyed in an arson attack in the early hours of Wednesday in the St Budeaux area of Plymouth.
The female guinea pig, who was just over a year old, was found dead in a neighbour's garden, but the three-year-old male guinea pig has not been found.
"It's just evil and sick - when I told my little boy what had happened, he said it was the worst day of his life and asked why anyone would do that to him," Cody's mother Amy said.

Arsonists set fire to a guinea pig hutch containing two pet guinea pigs belonging to a five-year-old girl in St Budeaux, Plymouth.
Police are asking anyone with any information about the attack, which happened shortly after midnight on Wednesday, to get in touch on 101.
The jury in the trial at Truro Crown Court of a driver of a coach that crashed killing two passengers has retired for the weekend.
Margeret Luxton and Carol Muldoon died when the vehicle, which was on a day trip from Exmouth to Looe, collided with a wall on a country road at Morval. Eighteen other people were injured.
The driver Martin Chun, from Whitestone, near Exeter, faces a charge of causing death by dangerous driving and an alternative charge of causing death by careless driving. The jury will continue their deliberations on Monday.

Massive waves are heading towards the coast of Cornwall and Devon as a ferocious storm bears down on the south west, according to forecasters from the surf website magicseaweed.com, external
Forecaster Ben Freeston said swell measuring more than 25ft was heading towards the south west and will coincide with large spring high tides.

The sunken wreck of a fishing trawler that swept for mines during World War One has been given special protection.
The steam boat Arfon had remained untouched on the bed of the English Channel for almost 100 years until it was discovered in 2014.

"Thousands" of baseball-like sea objects strewn across beaches in the South West are a common type of sea urchin.
More formally known as burrowing sea urchins, Prof Martin Attrill, from Plymouth University, said they were about the size of a tennis ball and were usually covered with little spines.

A man from Plymouth is doing a 1,500km cycle, ultra marathon and open water swim over seven days to raise funds and awareness for the Motor Neurone Disease Assocation after losing a friend to the condition.
Rauri Haddlington is currently in the middle of the seven-day trek across Japan from Okaya to Lake Toya.
His friend Stef died of Motor Neurone Disease in August 2014 and his mother died of the same condition when the pair were 16.
He said: "It's going well, I'm just coming to the end of my bike ride, then swimming and running are to follow.
"We've been incredibly well received... we're trying to raise money and awareness and remember an old friend."
With gusts expected to reach 40-50mph inland, and 50mph along exposed coastlines on Saturday a Met Office warning has been issued.
The strong winds and large waves are due to coincide with a period of spring tides this weekend.

A former councillor has accused Cornwall Council of wasting taxpayer's money by buying trees for the gateway to Pool, which did not grow properly.
The council has responded by admitting the trees did not thrive as expected, even though they normally do well in urban environments.

Redruth head coach Steve Larkins has resigned from his role and will be replaced by backs coach Marek Churcher.
Larkins had been in charge since 2014 and guided the club to fourth place in National League Two South last season.

A man who used pliers on his former girlfriend's breast during a sustained attack has been spared jail in order to care for his elderly father.
Nigel Reeby, 48, assaulted Rosalynd Davies in July 2013 after she told him to leave her farm near Okehampton.
He admitted actual bodily harm at Exeter Crown Court and was jailed for 8 months, suspended for two years.
