    Tomorrow we can expect spells of sunshine but despite this it will feel rather cool

    A man who was found dead near to Erewash Canal on Monday has been named as Robert Chatwin.

    Mr Chatwin, 38, was found by officers shortly after 02:00 in a wooded area just off Dockholm canal path in Long Eaton and was pronounced dead at the scene.

    He was last seen on Friday in Walton Street in the town.

    Police are currently looking for anyone who may have seen Mr Chatwin or could have other information regarding his death.

    A short stretch of Carrington Street in Nottingham will close to vehicles for good from this Monday.

    The road is currently one way, and can only be used by buses travelling from Canal Street to Collin Street but from 06:00 on Monday it will be pedestrianised completely.

    Buses coming from the train station direction will have to turn left onto Canal Street and go round Greyfriar Gate, before turning again onto Collin Street.

    The closure is to allow for preparatory work to be done for the Broadmarsh bus station, the shopping centre, and the ongoing heritage work on Carrington Street.

    It is the first closure in part of a wider scheme, which will eventually see Collin Street pedestrianised, and most of Canal Street closed to private cars.

    Paul Coughlin has been ruled out of Nottinghamshire's County Championship clash with Somerset tomorrow through injury.

    Zak Chappell and Luke Wood have been named in the squad, with the latter being recalled from a loan spell at Northamptonshire.

    It is not yet known how serious Coughlin's injury is.

    A points failure near Peartree in Derbyshire is causing disruption to trains between Derby and Birmingham New Street / Stoke-on-Trent, the National Rail Enquiries website reports., external

    Trains may be delayed by up to 20 minutes or cancelled until about 19:00.

    CrossCountry and East Midlands Trains services are affected.

    Police investigating claims of a racist comment, that led to a football match being abandoned, are appealing for video footage.

    Leicestershire Police received a report of a racist remark made during the Saturday Vase Final between FC Wymeswold and Cosby United on Wednesday 3 April.

    The match, held at Holmes Park in Whetstone, was halted after 78 minutes.

    Police have said the victim of this suspected offence has been "profoundly affected" by what happened.

    Anyone who was at the match and has photos or videos of what happened is being asked to contact the force.

    A group of masked men have been caught on CCTV throwing bricks at a Derby house before running off.

    Jason Davis, 48, said one of the bricks hit a chair just seconds after his housemate left it.

    Another landed in the bed his grandson sometimes stays in.

    Mr Davis believes the force and weight of the projectiles means someone could have been killed.

    One of the men dropped their mobile phone, which the police now have, he said.

    It happened on March 26 shortly after 01:00 in Allenton.

    Mr Davis told Derbyshire Live he did not have "any enemies" locally and considered these men to be "cowards".

    Derbyshire Police confirmed they were investigating.
