A man who charged customers VAT, pocketing £30,000 he was not entitled to, has been handed a suspended prison sentence.

Martyn Partington, 57, of Marple Road, Charlesworth, Glossop, charged clients VAT through his CCTV installation firm, despite not being VAT registered.
Derby Crown Court heard how Partington carried out the fraud over a four-year period from 2012.
After admitting the charge, he was given a 20-month prison sentence, suspended for two years, and ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work.
A hearing in March will decide whether he has to pay any money back.

A World War II veteran has told the BBC how he mistook a young robber for a relative and let him inside his home.
Once inside Harry Higgins' home in Melton Mowbray, the robber stole money the 91-year-old had saved for Christmas presents.
Since the robbery the local community has come together to gather food and money donations for Harry.

Leicestershire County Council has defended its efforts to grit the roads, amid concerns that surfaces were being left untreated and unsafe.

Councillor Blake Pain, cabinet member for highways, said: "Our gritting team have been out constantly since 21:00 yesterday to treat key routes across the county. However, sporadic periods of heavy rain, which washes the rock salt away, and freezing temperatures made gritting the roads difficult.
"We are aware of residents’ concerns this morning and our day crews took over at 07:30 gritting major roads and assessing minor routes to keep the county moving".
