"It was good to hear a diverse range of opinions all together on one platform," says Alex Hunt, 19.

"I enjoyed it a lot. But I was surprised that there wasn't more focus on issues that affect the South West," says James Murphy, 19.

"It was good to hear the candidates talking in depth about their constituencies and where they live," says Sam Durham, 19. "Hearing about where they live and where their kids go to school made it all more real for me."

It's been a lively debate with some great questions and strong passions have been stirred up on all sides.

Daniel Woolf, UKIP candidate for Gloucester, said a "personalised" system of education should be introduced, including grammar schools for for the "academically gifted".

Tessa Munt, Liberal Democrat candidate for Wells, said she was "dismayed" there is "no real plan" for how money will be spent in our region after Brexit.

In response to a question about the NHS, and whether it is worth saving in its existing form, Jacob Rees-Mogg, Conservative candidate for North East Somerset, said there will be a greater strain on front line services in future, and he is in favour of private help for the NHS.

In response to a question about how to make our country safe from terrorists, Sarah Church, Labour candidate for South Swindon, said there needs to be a "layered approach".

Presenter David Garmston asks Sarah Church (Labour) whether, as a former soldier, married to a soldier who was wounded in Afghanistan, she agrees with Jeremy Corbyn when he says that our foreign policy decisions have increased our risk of terrorism.

"Everything we do when we involve ourselves overseas will have an impact," she says.

Daniel Woolf (UKIP) says that in response to recent terror attacks we need to "get tough".

"Times have changed," he says and it would be in "interesting" to have a referendum on bringing back the death penalty for terrorists.

"The NHS is the most amazing service and it is in crisis," says Tessa Munt (Liberal Democrat).

"We need to put a penny on income tax and ringfence it. This would raise £6.7 billion."

She says that the Tories have cut the bursaries for those training to work in the NHS. "It's madness," she says.

"The NHS is not a sacred cow it is a precious jewel," says Molly Scott Cato (Green Party). "It is such an important service. We pledge to have a fully public NHS."

"Will the West of England suffer without EU funding? No. It won't," says Jacob Rees-Mogg (Conservative), "because it is our money."

He says that we don't need the EU taking a cut and that farmers in his constituency look forward to being free to farm without EU subsides. "Because they are good farmers," he says.
