BBC Verify Live has been focusing on a series of AI-generated fake videos claiming to show huge snow drifts in Russia’s Kamchatka peninsula.
- Here’s how we know one of the most widely shared videos is made with AI
- An expert we consulted has warned about a “crisis” in verification after some journalists were fooled by the videos
The team has also been keeping across events at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland, where US President Donald Trump unveiled his new “Board of Peace” for Gaza and his son-in-law introduced a plan to rebuild the Strip.
We’ve looked at a series of claims Trump made in his speech and examined the scale of the challenges facing those planning to redevelop Gaza after the two-year war between Israel and Hamas.
A look at the Gaza restoration plan will be up on the BBC News social media accounts later so keep an eye out for that.
BBC Verify Live will be back tomorrow - thanks for joining us.
