Rick Jackson unlocked the box with seconds to spare before his 17:00 BST deadline.

Rick’s finally unlocked the box.

To unlock the box he had to listen back to the four “Good Luck” messages he received through the day.

Each one hinted at a maths operation: plus, minus, times, divide.

Using those clues and his five numbers, he solved the equation: 60 + 183 - 156 × 11 ÷ 12 = 100!

How does Rick get out?! Rick was told to crack five challenges and unlock the box. His deadline is 1700 BST.

Rick has solved challenge five.

Having replayed a strange interview with comedian Adreinne Coles from yesterday – he realised Adrienne was a plant, dropping clues. She dropped in “Zodiac”, “Jury”, “Clock Face”, “Inches”, “Olympians” and “Eggs” – each a clue pointing towards the number 12.

Also the challenge had 12 words in it. With two ‘random words’ added to make it 12, and pointing towards ‘strange words’.

We’re onto Challenge 5. Rick has just been presented with another envelope.

Inside it reads: “The advice you received is not all that it seemed. Dice grasshoppers.”

Rick was given the clue “Do all the letters add up?”

• Hamwic and Hamtun are Anglo-Saxon names for Southampton.
• Cabbages on the Marsh is a former name for Calmore.
• Portland also being a place in Oregon and Bill being short for William – gives us Portland Bill. And Monarch’s Monument refers to Weymouth’s King’s Statue – so Weymouth.

The sum of the letters of all the words: Portland Bill, Weymouth, Calmore, Southampton is 38. And Rick tried 3 + 8…. Correct!

With your help Rick realized that each of the products in his lunch were locally produced across Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight.

They were:

• An Isle of Wight tomato
• Gallybagger Cheese from the Isle of Wight
• Stoney Cross Cheese, from Hampshire.
• Lavender Shortbread from the New Forest
• And Dorset Naga Chilli

Having tracked down each of the producers, they each gave Rick one word to help crack Challlenge Three.

With your help Rick realised that the photo was made up of some different buildings across Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight.

Rick spoke to a person from a group based at each building and each gave him a number for the equation.

Rick has completed his first challenge! Six riddles revealed maritime flags spelling out the letters S O L E N T.

The challenge said there’s only “one way” to solve this, and with help from listeners and Phoebe Smith of the Long Distance Walking Association, he discovered the number he needed: 60 – the length in miles of the Solent Way.

The rules and the consequences have just been revealed to Rick.

The Rules

• Rick has to crack 5 challenges and unlock the box before 5pm.

• The solution to each challenge is a number. Rick has unlimited guesses for each challenge.

• He can get help from BBC Radio Solent listeners

The Consequences:

• If he fails to escape before 17:00 BST, Rick - a Portsmouth fan - will be made to wear a Southampton shirt for the first derby game of the season.
