We’re ending our live coverage of the explosion in Delhi. Before we wrap up, here are the key highlights...
- The investigation into the explosion is continuing. We still don’t have any official confirmation of what caused the blast
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah have said that those responsible for the explosion will be “brought to justice”
- Shah has held a series of meetings on Tuesday with top security officials and the investigation has been handed over to the counter-terrorism force National Investigation Agency (NIA)
- Cases have been registered under the anti-terror Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) and other laws such as the Explosives Act, even though the police did not disclose the reason for doing so
- We have also been getting more details about who the victims are – they include a 22-year-old taxi driver, a bus conductor who was returning home after work and a man who was visiting a relative in hospital
- The iconic Red Fort, near where the explosion took place, is closed for three days as the investigation proceeds
