    There are happy faces and a big hug as Lindsey and Amy marked the end of their three-legged challenge.

    Reacting to the support shown by people along the way, Amy says: "The generosity of our incredible community has definitely been the highlight."

    The pair have crossed the finish line after covering a total of 30 miles across Yorkshire counties.

    How did they motivate each other during the two-day challenge?

    Lindsey says: "It's just a case of putting one foot in front of the other, keep talking and keep each other going.

    "To come here and see so many children, that's the reason we did it, to fundraise for Children in Need and the incredible work charities do."

    Amy and Lindsey arrived at Forget Me Not Hospice in Huddersfieldhaving covered 15 miles today with their ankles tied together.

    Lindsey says: "We are just so relieved to get here."

    Amy adds: "We finished it and that's the most important thing, the support has been amazing."

    Before they set off on their Thousand Mile Challenge Extra Leg, Amy Garcia and Lindsey Burrow met the Pitsmoor Adventure Playground team in Sheffield.

    At the finish line, the Forget Me Not Children's Hospice in Huddersfield, Lola and Cora from Birkenshaw are ready to greet Lindsey and Amy.

    Lola, 10, plays rugby and says Lindsey's late husband, rugby league legend Rob Burrow, is her hero.

    The pair have arrived at Colne Bridge and have just a couple of miles to go.

    Last week, BBC radio presenters across the UK braved all weathers while taking on the Thousand Mile Challenge. They covered a collective 1,000 miles in two days, all while tied at the ankle.

    Some of them were joined by guest walkers, including people who use charities supported by Children in Need.

    Inspired by their efforts, Lindsey and Amy have taken on the Thousand Mile Challenge Extra Leg as part of the wider fundraising initiative.

    Amy and Lindsey were keen to get up to match fitness ahead the challenge, and who better to help them than Olympian Nile Wilson.

    The 29-year-old from Leeds became the first Briton to win an Olympic medal in the horizontal bar by claiming bronze at Rio 2016.

    Nile said: "It'll be a tough old feat - more mentally than physically - but it's for an unbelievably cause and I'm very proud of them both."

    Amy and Lindsey were given huge encouragement earlier today by children at Flockton Church of England First School.

    They've all got stuck in with the colouring pens ahead of the visit from the three-legged pair.

    As of 16:00 GMT, the shattered and soaked duo have arrived in Kirkheaton. Not long to go now!

    About 16 miles away from Lindsey and Amy, Sara Cox has just crossed the finish line at the end of her staggering 135-mile Great Northern Marathon Challenge.

    Over five days she has carried Pudsey Bear from Kielder Forest, near the Scottish border, all the way down through northern England to Pudsey in Leeds.

    She has battled Storm Claudia and fatigue throughout the day, but was spurred on by crowds and the incredible news that her challenge has raised more than £6m for Children in Need.

    Amy and Lindsey began their walk for BBC Children in Need in Castleford on Thursday, and ended their first day in Selby.

    Here they are making a pit-stop at Burton Salmon Primary School in North Yorkshire.

    They set off at 08:00 GMT from Airedale Academy in Castleford, where Rob went to school, in front of the Rob Burrow Fitness Suite.

    "He'll be here in spirit waving us off," Lindsey said.

    For the next 12 hours, tied together, the pair made their way through Ferrybridge, Byram, Hambleton and Thorpe Willoughby.

    Amy describes Lindsey as "brilliant company".

    "She's the strongest woman I've ever met, so she's the perfect person to be tied to and she hasn't whinged once," she said.

    Amy and Lindsey were met with huge cheers at Kaye's Academy in Clayton West a little earlier.

    I think it's fair to say the pair have been blown away by the support from people of all ages so far today.

    Amy and Lindsey have called in at Grange Moor Primary School for a short break, with another warm welcome from pupils.

    Pudsey Bear impressed the children with some dancing, with the three-legged pair rapidly having to get back on the road in order to stay on track for their scheduled 18:30 arrival at Forget Me Not Children's Hospice.

    Speaking to BBC Look North in Emley, Lindsey says she's "cold and wet, but it's all for a good cause".

    "We're smiling, plodding on and putting one foot in front of the other," she adds.

    Discussing support on the streets, Amy says: "We have been absolutely been taken aback by the amount of people who have come out with their umbrellas, raincoats, some people even in their dressing gowns.

    "We had the police, we had the fire service, we were just missing the ambulance service - and that's who we really need!"

    Mabel the sheep joined the duo in the village of Burton Salmon on day one of the challenge.

    Eager to get involved, the Valais blacknose accelerated away and gave Amy and Lindsey a tow, with the fundraisers struggling to keep up!

    Lindsey and Amy have taken a quick break from the rain to meet pupils at Emley First School.

    The school is helping to raise money for Children in Need through a non-uniform day, with many of the kids donning Pudsey ears for the occasion.

    The BBC Radio 2 presenter is also due to complete her own Children in Need challenge today and has raised a staggering £6m so far.

    After a gruelling five-day 135-mile challenge, she will soon be finishing in the Leeds suburb of Pudsey.

    Sara started her journey on Monday at Kielder Forest near the Scottish border, before travelling south through Northumberland, Durham and North Yorkshire.
