About these elections

Voters will head to the polls on Thursday 7 May for the biggest set of elections since the 2024 general election. In Scotland and Wales, voters will elect representatives to their national parliaments, while in England around 5,000 local councillors and six mayors will be up for election. Candidate information may change until 10 April in England and Wales, as details are finalised.
