Battle for control continues in eastern Libya

Forces loyal to Libyan leader Col Gaddafi are continuing to engage with rebels in the area around Brega and Ajdabiya.

Brega has changed hands several times over recent days, with reports now now suggesting that the rebels are losing control.

Government planes have also been bombing the outskirts of Ajdabiya, the last town before the rebel base in Benghazi.

The BBC's Jon Leyne in Benghazi says that situation remains volatile.
