Swansea market laverbread sales hit by bug scare

A campaign has been launched in Swansea to try and encourage people to buy the city's famous local delicacies again.

A company making laverbread from seaweed volunteered to withdraw its product from sale solely as a precaution after a salmonella outbreak.

Despite no conclusive evidence that laverbread, from Penclawdd, made people ill, the safety scare has hit sales hard.
