Phil Woolas defiant despite court verdict
The former immigration minister, Phil Woolas, intends to appeal a court decision that the election in his constituency must be re-run.
The Labour MP narrowly won the Oldham and Saddleworth seat but was found to have made false statements about his Liberal Democrat rival.
His solicitor Gerald Shamash read a statement on Mr Woolas' behalf.
