Archive: Meryl Streep and Brian Friel in Donegal

Oscar winner Meryl Streep visits the County Donegal town of Glenties as she attends a 1998 screening of the film version of Dancing at Lughnasa.

Brian Friel, from whose play the film was adapted, was also there to greet the actress as they unveiled a plaque at the cottage where his mother and her sisters had lived.
