Head teacher recruitment 'increasingly difficult' warning

A group representing schools in the north-east of England has warned pressure on senior staff could make it harder to recruit head teachers.

Schools North East was speaking after a survey suggested many are thinking of leaving the profession, with some complaining about political interference.

The Government insists vacancies for heads are low and says more teachers are being trained for senior positions.
