Man filmed starting petrol station fire in Greenwich

CCTV footage showing the moment a man started a fire at a petrol station has been released by police.

The arsonist is seen walking up to a pump before squirting some petrol on the ground, on 30 September.

He then places an item - possibly a piece of cloth or paper - in the pump before setting it alight.

A member of the public is then seen using a fire extinguisher to put out the blaze at the BP garage in Greenwich, south-east London.

Police believe the arsonist might have burnt his eyebrows and hair. Officers are appealing for help to track him down.
