2nd Battalion The Mercian Regiment marches through Ashbourne

Soldiers from 2nd Battalion The Mercian Regiment have marched through Ashbourne, Derbyshire.

The battalion, which recruits in Worcestershire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, has served four tours of duty in Afghanistan.

This was the first of three "freedom parades" in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire towns this week.
