Birmingham children's services to be run by trust

Birmingham's children's services will be run by a trust after years of failings which saw the department labelled "a national disgrace".

The city council said it was a voluntary decision to be finalised by the authority's cabinet.

The move follows a number of high-profile deaths of children.
