London 'taking the lion's share' of UK arts funding

Funding for theatres, museums and galleries outside the capital is being squeezed because London takes more than anywhere else, according to a report.

It found that government spending on arts and culture in London amounted to nearly ÂŁ70 for every resident in the last financial year, compared to less than ÂŁ5 per person in the rest of England.
