Coronation Street's Michael Le Vell in court on child sex charges

Coronation Street actor Michael Le Vell has appeared at Manchester Magistrates' Court charged with 19 sexual offences against a child.

Mr Le Vell, 48, whose real name is Michael Turner, did not enter a plea, but his solicitor said the charges would be "fully contested".
