What it's like when you're a victim of online trolls
Caroline Criado-Perez became a focus for internet bullies last year, after successfully winning a campaign to get the Bank of England to keep female historical figures on bank notes.
She says she was "absolutely terrified" when she began receiving rape and death threats.
"It was very scary. I couldn't sleep, I couldn't eat, I couldn't get any work done," she told Newsbeat.
She said the experience has changed her and although a year has passed since the threats were at their worst, she is still more cautious in what she says.
