Cigarette packet branding 'part of the appeal' - Sir Cyril Chantler
The government has announced it is moving forward with plans to ban branding on cigarette packs in England.
It follows the findings of an independent report that found it was "very likely to have a positive impact" on public health and stop children from starting to smoke.
The report, by paediatrician Sir Cyril Chantler, has found evidence that similar legislation in Australia has had a positive impact.
