A man has been rescued from a Somerset beach after being found covered in mud and showing the early signs of hypothermia.
Two Burnham-on-Sea lifeboats, a team of coastguards and a helicopter from RAF Chivenor were called out to search for the man at 0150 BST on Sunday.
The alarm was raised after a person on the beach near Brean reported that the man may have been in the water.
Burnham RNLI said he was discovered walking on the beach.
