Expression of Wish

Have you expressed your wishes?

As a BBC employee working in the UK, a cash sum of four times your salary can be paid to someone, or a charity when you die. Express your preference about where the money should go. It’s quick, free and easy and it could make a real difference to someone you care about, so make your mark today.

The Trustees have discretion over who receives the cash and in what proportion. They take into account, but cannot be bound by, your wishes. You are therefore asked to let the Trustees know your choice of beneficiaries by keeping your expression of wish form up to date.

NB: If you are unsure if you have already completed a form, please complete a new one which will overwrite any existing form held.

How this form will be used?

This form is addressed to the Trustees of the BBC Pension Scheme (the “BBCPS Trustees”) and/or to the Trustees of the BBC Life Plan Group Life Scheme (the “Group Life Scheme Trustees”), who are referred to in this form together as the "Trustees”. In the event of your death, the BBCPS Trustees and/or the Group Life Trustees (as appropriate) will give careful consideration to your wishes set out in this form when deciding how to distribute any benefits which are payable, but cannot be bound by them. Payment of benefits will only be made in accordance with the Rules of the relevant scheme or schemes.
