Why are you looking forward to SXSW?
Because it means I'll be seeing as many bands as possible and sampling the many types of BBQ'd meat on offer.


For the benefit of people who aren’t really aware of SXSW – why is the festival so special in your opinion?
I guess the idea of a festival taking over a town is novel to us Brits - its just a great showcase.

Which bands are you particularly looking forward to seeing and why?
Eisley, who'll be on my show - and the Radio 2 night featuring Amy Winehouse, Razorlight, James Morrison, Seth Lakeman and Keane - I'll be hosting that too.

Why should we listen to your shows from Texas?
I'll be speaking to everyone who is anyone.
