Statement on Non-Executive Directors
The BBC is announcing today that Dame Fiona Reynolds, Sir Howard Stringer, and Simon Burke have had their term extended as Non-Executive Directors of the BBC’s Executive Board until April 2017.

Their terms were due to finish on December 31 2016, however given the start date of the new BBC unitary board will now be 3 April 2017 it has been agreed to extend the terms of these Non-Executives to coincide with the end of the Executive Board.
These appointments have been approved by the BBC Trust, as required by the Charter.
