Afternoon Concert

A week of concerts celebrating disabled composers and performers.

Three visually impaired singers, Denise Leigh (winner of Channel 4’s Operatunity), Sandra Gayer and Victoria Oruwari join the women of the BBC Singers in a studio recording presented by Natasha Riordan. Former New Generation Artist Pavel Kolesnikov is the soloist with the BBC Concert Orchestra in Beethoven's third Piano Concerto and Martin Yates conducts the orchestra in a recording of Robin Milford's Symphony No 2 from last year's English Music Festival.
